Oregon Coast

Ashley and I just got back from a few days with some senior girls that just graduated from our youth group. We went down to Florence, OR along the coast and Ashley had a few more firsts. It was her first time on the Oregon coast...first time in the sand (she loved eating it)...first time camping...and her first encounter with a horse. She did great (although she did not like the car ride much) and had so much fun with all the girls!

I am one!

Today Ashley turned one! She opened a few presents in the morning and then we took it pretty easy the rest of the day since we were all trying to recoupe from her party. She did take a stroll in her new car and swung on the front porch while enjoying a nice beverage (not really, the bottle was empty). The last picture shows how active she has become and what a good climber she is.

1st Birthday Party!

Tonight we had Ashley's first birthday party with family, friends and neighbors. It was a lot of fun! Entertainment included an inflatable pin the tale on the donkey and "Valentine's Performing Pigs!"

I can stand now!

For nine days now Ashley has been able to free stand! She thinks it is so funny to stand on her own and then fall forward onto me. It is going to be any day now that she starts walking on her own. We are hoping for her 1st b-day party!

Tonight the cousins (Chase and Austin) came over for dinner and a movie. Ashley just loved Austin...she followed him around constantly and he played with her the whole night. She loved attacking him too (even though the pictures don't show it, he liked it too)!
